Prices of tickets purchased for use on Nottingham Express Transit using the NETGO! app are to increase from Sunday 3rd January 2021 – bringing them in line to the standard prices charged when buying tickets through the ticket machines. In a press release NET have confirmed that the lower prices through the app were only due to be for a short promotional period following the introduction of the app and this had been extended as a result of the pandemic but will now revert to standard prices.
The increase will affect Single, Day, Week and Group fares and will see rises of between 10p and 50p depending on the ticket type. This will mean Adult Day tickets will now be £4.20 (was £4.00) and a single Adult ticket will be £2.40 (instead of £2.30).
Andrew Conroy, Chief Operating Officer at NET, said: “NETGO! users have enjoyed promotional prices for longer than was originally planned after Covid hit, and while no fare increase is popular, this simply ends the promotion and brings all our fares in line with each other. The app has proven extremely popular and still offers value for money and the safest and easiest way to purchase tickets. In addition, NETGO! users will benefit from season ticket options by the end of January following further development of the app.”
