We are off to Edinburgh again today as we take a look at another of the CAF built trams in action.
The below photo is taken at Gogarburn as 253 turns the sharp curve into the stop bound for York Place. The advert on the tram is for C R Smith and has been carried on 253 since January 2018. This version of the advert features images from The Royal Mile to Balintore and is just one of these six original designs for the window company still carried on trams in Edinburgh with the others having since been removed.
In this photo we not only see 253 and its C R Smith advert but the more eagle eyed amongst you will notice a small card in the windscreen which features a blue mask to encourage passengers to wear a face covering when travelling on the trams. (Photograph by Roy Calderwood, 8th September 2020)
