Seaton Tramway to run special Winter Service

With the English national lockdown coming to an end at the start of December, the Seaton Tramway have announced that they will be running a special Winter service on weekends during December as well as daily in the week leading up to Christmas Eve.

The Yellow timetable will run which sees trams every 30 minutes from Seaton to Colyton and this will run every weekend in December (starting on Saturday 5th December) and then daily from 21st to 24th December. The usual post Christmas service will also be in operation daily from 27th December 2020 to 3rd January 2021.

And if you fancy a tram trip in the dark now is your chance! Starting at 1800 on Saturday 5th trams will run from Seaton to Colyton where you can enjoy a Christmas meal at the Tramstop Restaurant (pre booking required) or take a walk to Colyton to enjoy their Christmas lights.

On top of the tram service there will be seasonal food available at the Tramstop café including mulled wine and mince pies! Santa’s Elves will also be visiting Colyton to entertain visitors to the tramway with activities suitable for all ages. The Story Tram will also return on 18th December at 1030 – perfect for families with children up to the age of 3 this trip includes a small Christmas meal, activities, stories and the chance to meet Santa!

All this will still be under the tried and tested Covid-19 procedures which have been in place since the start of July when the tramway reopened after restrictions were lifted. What better way to spend the time in the lead up to Christmas!
