The latest performance report for Manchester Metrolink has been released and as the headline says it shows that punctuality has gone up whilst reliability has fallen. But in both cases they are big changes with Metrolink continuing to perform at a fairly stable level throughout 2020.
Punctuality
Trams departing less than 2 minutes late
This latest period (period 7: 20th September to 18th October 2020) has a percentage figure of 94.4%. An increase from the previous period which was at 93.9%. This is the highest figure since period 4.
Highest performing line: Trafford Park line – 98.7%
Lowest performing line: Oldham & Rochdale – 90.8%
Reliability
Planned miles operated
This latest period (period 7: 20th September to 18th October 2020) has a percentage figure of 95.6% which is a fall from the previous period which was at 96.9%. This is the lowest figure shown on the report (which goes back as far as period 13 in 2019/20).
Highest performing line: Trafford Park line – 99.8%
Lowest performing line: Oldham & Rochdale – 93.5%
In addition 0.58% of journeys were cancelled and 0.37% of journeys were considered incomplete.
