We have another photo taken in Leeds just a few days before the tram system closed in November 1959 for this edition of “Picture in Time”.
This time we see another Horsfield car with no. 195 running along York Street by the bus station with a route 20 service for Halton. The tram has stopped at the stop here – at least we hope it has! – as passengers start to board for a journey on the tram, judging by the lack of passengers on board the tram is at the start of its journey. There’s no end advert on 195 but we see a between deck ad for Co-Operative stores. We can also see a crossover just in front of the tram.
