Lockdown Walks: Stagecoach Supertram 120 & 118

Its time to take another look at trams running in 2020 as we go on another “Lockdown Walk” – this time its Sheffield again.

Its funny how a tram receiving a new livery can go overnight from just being another member of the fleet to a celebrity – but that is exactly what happened to Stagecoach Supertram 120 in 2010 when it received an approximation of the Sheffield Corporation Tramways livery. Ten years later and despite it supposedly being a short-term livery its still in place! 120 was even involved in a collision and although it was reformed following this the section of 118 that it joined was repainted to match!

This image taken at Hillsborough Corner – where the routes to Malin Bridge and Middlewood split – in fact shows the two trams which are now running with original bits of the other one as 120 and 118 meet with their respective workings. 120 waits to come off the Malin Bridge route as 118 is seen continuing its way on the Yellow route.
