Around the World in Trams: Innsbruck 19

It is another trip to Innsbruck for this edition of “Around the World in Trams”.

In this image we see a motor and trailer combination at Berg Isel during July 1964. No. 19 was built in 1907 for Zurich as no. 1 (later renumbered 147) and remained in Switzerland until 1954 when it was sold on for further use in Innsbruck. Numbered 19 in the Innsbruck fleet it would remain in ordinary service until 1977 when it became a museum car – which is what it remains to this day now housed at the Tiroler Museum and used on occasions out and about on the heritage service.
