Lockdown Walks: Stagecoach Supertram 105

In this instalment of “Lockdown Walks” we are in Sheffield as we take a look at another tram running on the Supertram network.

This photo is taken on Langsett Road, a road which Supertram runs along for a good distance as it heads through Hillsborough on the way towards Hillsborough. A busy road with plenty of other traffic there are three tramstops situated on Langsett Road served by trams on both the Blue and Yellow routes. This section first opened to trams on 23rd October 1995.

105 is seen here running on Langsett Road with a Blue route service heading for Malin Bridge. On this day trams on the Blue route were only running Malin Bridge to Sheffield Station because of track replacement works on the Blue route. (Photograph by Stuart Cooke, 6th September 2020)
