So Nearly, Not Quite: Blackpool Centenary 645

As we continue to take a look at less than perfect photos we again feature Blackpool Centenary 645.

Who put that pole there! Whilst the various street and tramstop furniture that can be found around tramways often add to the scene it usually helps if they’re not dead centre in the photo blocking a key part of the tram, as appears to the case here! Its 28th November 2008 with Centenary 645 at Starr Gate – long before anyone considered putting a depot here! – having arrived with a winter service from Fleetwood Ferry. The advert is for the now closed Palm Beach Hotel on New South Promenade. Ah, never mind, better luck next time!
