We feature our first modern tram in this edition of “Trams &” as we head to Edinburgh for a view of a tram and Stagecoach bus during 2014.
In this photo we see Edinburgh Trams 262 approaching the terminus at York Place with a service which originated at Edinburgh Airport. Just a few months after opening this image was captured on the evening of 27th July 2014 and at this time all trams were completely devoid of any external advertising.
Alongside on the road is Volvo B7R/Plaxton Profiles bus numbered 53290 and with a registration number plate of SP07 HHU. This bus remained in Scotland until September 2018 when it was moved down to Stagecoach’s Merseyside and South Lancashire operation. In this photo it is waiting to turn across the path of the tram into the bus station.
