Around the World in Trams: Melbourne 6063

Its time for another view from Melbourne as we continue our look at some of the trams of the extensive fleet in the Australian city.

This is an E-class tram, no. 6063, seen on 2nd February 2020 as it crosses the Spencer Street/Flinders Street junction. The E-class – the second class of trams to be given this identification in Melbourne – are Bombardier built trams having been built in Dandenong, a suburb of Melbourne, from 2013 all the way into early 2019. A total of 90 trams in two main batches will be constructed with 6063 being part of the second batch. As with all recent service introductions they are completely low floor.
