Across the world wide web there are many websites dedicated to trams and light rail and in this first edition of a new (likely to be very irregular!) series we take a look at some of those you may wish to check out – we start off with RailwayWorld.net.
Written by Gareth David – who will be publishing a book on London Tramlink in late April, of which we will cover more at the time – this blog type website is mainly interested in railways but a new series of articles on tramways has just been started – with the West Midlands Metro the first to be covered.
Posted on 6th March at railwayworld.net/2020/03/06/britains-tramways-west-midlands-metro the article gives a brief overview of the tramway between Birmingham and Wolverhampton as well as looking at future extensions of this expanding system. Including photos it also gives a brief description of the route the current tramway takes and is a nice introduction to the line.
Other articles on British tramways are planned later in the year and you can view the whole website at https://railwayworld.net/.
