Upcoming Supertram engineering works

There will be disruption to some services on Stagecoach Supertram on two separate occasions in the next week or so as essential engineering works take place on the network. There will be amendments to services on both Monday 24th February and Sunday 1st March to allow this work to take place.

Unusually for a single day of works the first batch of work will take place on Monday 24th February with essential engineering work on City Road. As a result no trams will be able to run between Gleadless Townend and Sheffield Station from the start of service until approximately 1800.

During the disruption Blue route services will run from Halfway to Gleadless Townend with replacement buses then running to Fitzalan Square. A Blue route service will also run between Sheffield Station and Malin Bridge. There will be no Purple route service.

Then on Sunday 1st March there is works on Holme Lane which will mean no trams can serve Malin Bridge from the start of service until midday. The first three Blue route services will terminate at Hillsborough and thereafter services will divert to Middlewood. The first planned service from Malin Bridge will be at 1219. There will be a replacement bus from Hillsborough to Malin Bridge during the works.
