Its our first look at some of the trams which ran in Blackpool during the past calendar year this afternoon and what better tram to start with than Boat 600.
Always popular, seemingly regardless of the weather, the Boat Cars come into their own running along Blackpool Prom with not only enthusiasts but the general public unable to resist the chance of a traditional open top tram ride with the breeze coming off the Irish Sea!
The first photo below was taken on 25th May 2019 and we see 600 just using the crossover at North Pier as it prepares to head back south after a short trip along the Prom from Pleasure Beach (which is precisely where it will be heading back to). A solitary passenger enjoys the ride across the crossover.
Then on 29th September 2019 we catch-up with 600 as it was running Illumination Tours – a good but chilly way to view the lights! The tram is seen between its two tours on the night on Pleasure Beach loop.
