Man injured after being hit by tram in Croydon

A man suffered a suspected broken ankle after being struck by a tram in Wellesley Road in Croydon Town Centre on Sunday 27th January. The incident happened at approximately 2320 and it is believed that the man jumped railings in Wellesley Road to cross the road and was then struck by the tram. It is not clear whether he suffered his injuries from falling from the railings or being hit by the tram. He was taken by Paramedics to Croydon University Hospital for treatment.
