Local MP visits Seaton to congratulate on awards success

The Seaton Tramway are celebrating another awards win with an accolade from Visit England in recognition of the excellent customer service given at the tramway. To mark the occasion local MP, Neil Parish (Tiverton and Honiton) paid a visit to congratulate the tramway on not only their recent award wins but also the new Seaton terminus.

Mr Parish visited the tramway on Friday 5th April and joined Jenny Nunn, Chief Executive, and Lee Taylor, Engineering Manager, for a trip through the Axe valley on the three mile long tramway to Colyton.

He commented: “It was fantastic to learn that your hard work has been noticed by Visit England. Your work really is putting Seaton on the map and highlighting what a great town Seaton is to visit and live in. The new Station is wonderful, and your investment has paid off. It is great to see this attraction bringing in business for the local area and East Devon and to see your partnerships growing with local businesses, especially with Devon sourced food.”

The Visit England Welcome accolade was given to recognise the excellent customer service delivered. In receiving this award they were the only attraction to win in Devon for 2018. It follows another award from the Heritage Railway Association for Outstanding Achievement for the new Seaton terminus.
