Originally due to open on Monday 21st January it has been announced that the main Promenade road past Talbot Road in Blackpool will now not open until the end of February with an apparent delay in the tram trackworks the cause.
The statement from Blackpool Council gives no exact details of what delays have been experienced but says that the reopening has been “put back to allow for snagging works to be carried out on roadworks associated with the new tramway extension”. They are also keen to point out that all other tram works are on target with the work on Talbot Road between the Promenade and Dickson Road on schedule for completion by the end of February 2019.
