September Review – Crich: No. 13 – Open Air through the Derbyshire countryside

Hopefully Santa has visited you all by now and you are enjoying your Christmas festivities and now as an added present we bring you our second set of photos of the day. This time we are back at Crich and feature a selection of Open Top trams.

Usually always popular regardless of the weather open toppers see plenty of use in the summer but on this occasion Blackpool 236 is passenger-less but that can be explained by the fact that the Boat Car has just left the depot and is now heading down to Town End to enter service.

Another view outside of the depot with the tram included this time being London United Tramways 159. This time there are passengers on board – and plenty of them! – as the tram heads north to Glory Mine.

A second London open topper in the form of London County Council 106. The tram is just calling at Victoria Park as passengers disembark ready to go home after a busy day. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior)
