Today we are taking another look at some of the Wagons and Vans of the Manx Electric Railway out on the mainline over the anniversary events week.
Mail Van 4 – in a bright red livery – was used on several occasions over the week (including the Mail Van re-enactment) and is certainly not something you can miss! On 6th September it is seen being pushed back into the Groudle siding by Winter Saloon 22 with trailer 60 also in the consist.
The second of the operational vans is no. 16 which is in the far more sedate green livery. Coupled with Winter Saloon 19 on 6th September we see the van here at the new Ramsey terminus.
Mail Van 4 features again in this photo as we look across the valley at Laxey on 7th September. It is with Tunnel Car 6 and trailer 40. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior)
