September Review – Blackpool: No. 10 – Rigby Road Depot line-ups

As well as the chance to display trams on Blundell Street the opportunity was also taken for some line-ups of trams on the depot fan within the confines of Rigby Road Depot. Visible from outside the depot gates – with a bit of peeking through the wire fence and gates anyway – several trams not often seen in the open featured over the two days.

On Saturday 22nd September and the main feature on the depot fan included Halle 902 and Jubilee 761. The German tram is on a storage loan from Crich and this was its first outside appearance since arriving in June whilst the big orange double decker is stored awaiting workshop space.

Day two – 23rd September – and 761 was once again dragged out onto the depot fan and was joined by operational Brush 631. For many though the undoubted highlight was Coronation 304, seen closest to the camera.

Another look at Sunday’s line-up but mainly concentrating on the Coronation. (All Photographs by Gareth Prior)
