Work may still be ongoing in the first phase of the 2018 rail replacement works on Stagecoach Supertram but details have now been released of the plans for the next phase which will see the Blue route between Birley Lane and Halfway affected.
This stage will see no trams running between Birley Lane and Halfway from Saturday 23rd June to Wednesday 8th August. The Blue route will only run between Malin Bridge and Birley Lane throughout this period with a replacement bus service in operation instead. At times this will be unable to serve the stops at Birley Moor Road, Hackenthorpe or Donetsk Way due to the location of the rail replacement works and traffic diversions.
The Yellow and Purple routes will run a normal service throughout this period.
