In Pictures: Rotherham Parkgate progress

Just a few weeks ago we were bemoaning the apparent lack of progress in the construction at Rotherham Parkgate – the terminus of the Tram-Train service from Cathedral due to be finally introduced later this year – but in these latest photos, provided by Stuart Cooke, we see that there has been some work completed recently on the platform.

The platform is now being surfaced as can be seen in this first view.

Another view of the recent surfacing work.

A different angle of the platform.

Looking along the line with the tramstop at Parkgate visible on the left whilst the Network Rail double track line curves around. (All Photographs by Stuart Cooke)
