Picture in Time: Luas 3002

As we enter May we have a change in our photo series again with Around the World in Trams taking a break with Tuesday’s for the next month now delving back into the modern tram archives. In this edition we go over the Irish Sea to Dublin  with Luas the object of our attention this time.

This photo shows 3002 at Red Cow stop with a service which is heading to Connolly. 3002 is one of the 3000 class of Alstom Citadis built for the opening of the line and at the time of this photo it was still just a three section tram – in 2007/8 all of this class became five section trams.

The date of this photo is 14th July 2007.
