London Tramlink engineering works: 27th October to 1st November

More engineering works are taking place on London Tramlink between Saturday 27th Octoberand Thursday 1st November which will mean no trams will operate on the central Croydon loop, to allow some track replacement works to take place.

The engineering works are split into two periods with no trams running between Reeves Corner and Sandilands on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th October and then between Monday 29th October and Thursday 1st November trams will not operate between Reeves Corner and East Croydon. Over the weekend of the works a replacement bus will be provided but from Monday 29th October any passengers are advised to either use local bus services or to walk across Croydon. With trams unable to run through central Croydon the usual practice of storing surplus trams on the Elmers End branch is continued which means no trams are able to operate between Arena and Elmers End before 0830 and after 1815 between Monday 29th October and Thursday 1st November.

It is believed that during the closures a section of track on Dingwall Road will be replaced (over the weekend) and a curve in Station Road will also be attended to during the latter closure.
