Around the World in 18 Trams: Philadelphia and Western Railroad 205

Off to the United States for our latest image from around the world as we go to the Rockhill Trolley Museum for a view of one of the many trolleys operational there.

The trolley car in question is Philadelphia and Western Railroad 205, a double truck bullet aluminium interurban car built in 1931. Rather than use overhead power it was originally built to use third rail but has now been adapted for use with a trolley pole, this work was done after it was acquired by the museum in 1990. It is currently operating in the colours of the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority. This view shows the vehicle at Rockhill during their Fall Festival on 7th October 2017.
