2CC to be used for Altrincham-Bury services on 22nd October

One of the benefits of the Manchester Metrolink’s Second City Crossing (2CC) is to be seen again on Sunday 22nd October with extra services running via the line because of engineering works on Mosley Street.

All trams between Altrincham and Bury will be diverted via 2CC throughout the day – only believed to be second time this diversion has been put in place because of engineering works – whilst services from Ashton-under-Lyne will be diverted to Victoria running via Market Street. Meanwhile trams from Eccles will only run as far as Cornbrook with a replacement bus from there to Piccadilly. Services between East Didsbury and Rochdale Town Centre will continue to run as normal via 2CC.
