Spaces still available for Friends of 40 tour

The annual Friends of 40 tram tour on board Blackpool & Fleetwood Box 40 – a tradition since 1998 – will take place on Sunday 9th April and there are still spaces available with tickets including a tram ride and dinner at the North Euston Hotel in Fleetwood.

Box 40 will depart Rigby Road Depot at 1100 and travel to Starr Gate via the Foxhall crossover. It will then run the full length of the tramway to Fleetwood where it will then break for lunch with food provided at the North Euston Hotel in the Vantini Room at 1300. Lunch will be chicken breast with sauce and vegetables and potatoes, followed by a suite of apple crumble or Bakewell tart and tea or coffee. There will also be a guest speaker who will provide interesting tramway news. 40 will then return to Rigby Road at 1600 via Little Bispham or Pleasure Beach loops.

The tram is already three quarters full but a few spaces do remain and if you would like to join this trip you should send a piece of paper with your name and address to Steve Palmer at 3 Rossall Lane, Fleetwood, FY7 8JP. Please let Steve know if you are unable to join the tour at Rigby Road and wish to board at North Pier or Bispham. Please only enclose a SAE if you require an acknowledgement. Further information is available form Steve on 01253 770 623.

  1. Andrew Macfarlane says:

The all-inclusive price is £25. Cheques should be made payable to “Friends of 40”.
