Seaton Tramway announce 2017 special events programme

Devon’s Seaton Tramway has announced their special events programme for 2017 and although there is nothing directly aimed at the enthusiast there is a varied programme for the family, especially if you like fairies, dinosaurs or pirates!

Three new family orientated events will run in 2017 starting off with the Fairy Special which will transport passengers to the Fairy Kingdom (which will probably be Colyton) and will run on 8th April, 29th May, every Friday in August and 1st September.

For those who prefer a bit more danger than maybe The Dinosaur Tram Adventure would be more up your street. Not to be confused with the previous Dinosaur Train event this is a new adventure filled tram ride which will see stories, music, a fossil dig and dinosaur activity area at Colyton Station. This event will take place on 16th, 23rd April, 1st, 28th May, 23rd, 30th July, every Sunday in August plus the Bank Holiday Monday.

The final new family event is the Pirate Tram which seems to be an expansion of the one day a year guaranteed use of Boat style tram no. 4. Running on 28th July and 26th August the Pirate Tram sets sail on a voyage from Seaton to Colyton where shipmates will be able to search for the booty.

Aside from these family events there is a new Summer Fair and Dog Show on 4th June which will also feature a Driver’s Eye Experience, photo opportunities and works cars in action. The rest of the year will see old favourites Bird Watching by tram, Halloween Tram of Terror and the Polar Express. There are also a number of evening events at the Tramstop Restaurant, Colyton throughout the season.

* Full details of Seaton’s 2017 events will be added to the Events Diary shortly.
