The differences in services being offered is plain to see from the example of Nottingham Express Transit who provide a service until late on Christmas Eve to the opposite end of the spectrum where once again Blackpool has no trams not only on Christmas Day but also on Boxing Day and New Years Day. Saturday 24th December (Christmas Eve) – Saturday service until 2100. Last full route tram from York Place to Edinburgh Airport at 2008, last full route tram from Edinburgh Airport to York Place at 2055. Later departures from York Place will terminate at Edinburgh Gateway.
Sunday 25th December (Christmas Day) – NO SERVICE
Monday 26th (Boxing Day) & Tuesday 27th December – Saturday service
Wednesday 28th to Friday 30th December – Weekday service. From 1800 on Friday trams will terminate at West End Princes Street.
Saturday 31st December (New Year’s Eve) – Normal Saturday service until normal last tram times between Edinburgh Airport and West End Princes Street. Then from midnight until 0500 free trams will run from West End Princes Street to Edinburgh Airport.
Sunday 1st January 2017 (New Year’s Day) – Normal Sunday service with trams running full route to York Place from 1000.
Monday 2nd January 2017 – Saturday service
Tuesday 3rd January 2017 – Normal weekday service
