It may be April but that doesn’t mean that overnight ice on the overhead wires doesn’t still have the knack of delaying tram services with Nottingham Express Transit having problems on Sunday 17th April.
The amount of ice on the overhead wires had not been forecast and saw the entire system suspended between 0700 and 0745 after which time it was possible for a limited service to run. An improved service was then introduced from 1000 before a full Sunday service was operated from 1040.
