Picture in Time: Stagecoach Supertram 106

As Stagecoach Supertram are throwing open the doors to their depot today where better can we go for the latest Picture in Time image than Sheffield and a view of one of the many advertising liveries carried on one of the Siemens built trams over the years?

This is no.106 which when caught on camera in 2006 was carrying a light blue all over advert for Thomsonfly.com. Up until this point in time 106 had exclusively carried fleet liveries starting off in the drab grey livery and following that with the two white Stagecoach livery variations. By this time the trams were starting to receive the most striking of the fleet liveries (the current blue based livery) but 106 was chosen for an advertising contract and received these vinyls. It carried the advert for Thomsonfly.com into 2007 and once the contract expired received the standard fleet livery – a livery it has retained to this day.

This photo shows 106 at Attercliffe on the Yellow route as it runs a Meadowhall to Middlewood service on 9th June 2006.
