Supertram rail replacement works move on to Area 6

The first phase of rail replacement works this year on Stagecoach Supertram will be completed on Saturday 9th May and a normal tram service will then run on Sunday 10th May ahead of the next phase commencing on Monday 11th May. This phase will see works concentrated in the city centre and are due to take place until Wednesday 3rd June.

It is planned that track will be replaced on the Park Square Bridge and as far as the road crossing before Castle Square tramstop. During the work trams will run:

Purple – Herdings Park to Sheffield Station

Yellow – Middlewood to Cathedral

Blue – Malin Bridge to Cathedral

Green – Halfway to Meadowhall

In addition a replacement bus service will run on a circular route from Cathedral via Sheffield Station and Granville Road.

    Have the tram services re middle wood and malin bridge started running back to normal, taking passengers from today 11 May 2015?

      Yes a full service is in operation on all routes today before the next stage of works start on Monday 11th May.
