Public consultation launched for Bradley Lane Park and Ride

Centro have launched a three week public consultation on their plans to add another Park and Ride site to Midland Metro. This time a 196 car park would be constructed at Bradley Lane allowing Metro travellers to park for free to travel to Birmingham and Wolverhampton.

The site would be built on public open space and the remaining space not taken up by the car park would be used for four football pitches (three full size and a junior pitch). As Bradley Lane is Walsall Borough Council’s area Centro will have to apply to them for planning permission after which funding will be applied for.

Three public exhibitions will take place:

Thursday 26th February – Centro Exhibition Bus at Travellers Rest pub car park from 1400 to 1900

Tuesday 3rd March – Moxley People’s Centre from 1200 to 1700

Wednesday 4th March – Moxley People’s Centre from 0930 to 1100

Any comments on the plans can either be submitted on the day or by visiting the Centro website at http://www.centro.org.uk/bradleylane. The deadline for comments is Friday 13th March.
