Essential ground maintenance works are to be undertaken between The Crescent and Priestfield tramstops on four Sundays in late May and early June. This means that between the start of service and 1800 no service will run on Midland Metro from Wednesbury Parkway and Wolverhampton St Georges.
The work will take place on:
Sunday 20th May
Sunday 27th May
Sunday 3rd June
Sunday 10th June
Included in this ground maintenance work a number of trees and overhanging branches will be cut back but Midland Metro are keen to point out they will only remove that which is necessary for the continued safe and reliable operation of the tram service.
During the service disruption all valid Metro passes and travelcards will be accepted on the National Express West Midlands bus service 79 which operates every 30 minutes from Wolverhampton Bus Station to Wednesbury Bus Station in both directions.
Trams will continue to run as normal between Birmingham Snow Hill and Wednesbury Parkway.
