From Sunday 30th March 2014 a new range of tickets for children and young people will be launched which will be valid for travel on Stagecoach Supertram. There will be some Stagecoach specific commercial day and week tickets alongside a new Travel South Yorkshire child day and week tickets.
The following Stagecoach only tickets will be available:
Tram and Bus Dayrider: £2.30 (valid on trams and Stagecoach buses only)
Tram and Bus Megarider: £6.00 (valid on trams and Stagecoach buses only)
Tram only Dayrider: £2.10
Tram only Megarider: £5.50
The weekly (Megarider) tickets may also be added to a Stagecoach smartcard either onboard or at a discounted price if purchased online:
Tram only smart 7 day: £5.00 (purchased online only at this price)
Bus and Tram Smart 7 day: £5.50 (purchased online only at this price)
Tram only smart 28 day: £20.00 (purchased online only)
Bus and Tram Smart 28 day: £22.00 (purchased online only)
There will also be new Travel South Yorkshire “Get About” tickets:
GetAbout Day: £2.50 (valid on any tram and bus in South Yorkshire)
GetAbout 7-day: £6.50 (valid on any tram and bus in South Yorkshire)
All child tickets will only be able to be purchased by someone in possession of a valid Travel South Yorkshire Megatravel or Student 16-18 pass.
As well as these new child tickets and in recognition of the forthcoming disruption to services as a result of the track replacement works the price of the online adult 13 week Megarider is to be cut from £131 to just £95. This reduced price ticket will be available for purchase until 22nd June 2014.
