In Pictures: West Midlands Metro 56 returns to full fleet livery

It had only been carrying vinyls for the West Midlands Business Festival for a month but CAF Urbos100 56 has already lost them with it returning to fleet livery once again, on 3rd February 2026.

The vinyls were a partial advertising livery as they only covered the middle three sections of the tram, and different colours were used on each side for the advert. It was first seen at the start of January 2026 and with the festival continuing until 13th February you may have expected them to stay in place until then. But, no, they have already been removed shortly after it began.

That was the first time 56 had carried external advertising.

In other news it looks as if fellow Urbos100 46 may be back in service again soon. This tram has been absent for nearly two years but was out briefly on 3rd February and after further work is expected to make a full-time return.
