Edinburgh Trams get ready for another Six Nations championships

The Guinness Men’s Six Nations returns for the 143rd edition of the tournament this month and Edinburgh Trams are getting ready to transport fans to Scotland’s home matches at Murrayfield Stadium with a reminder that tapping on and tapping off will be the most straightforward way to pay for your travel.

Scotland just have the two homes matches in 2026 – against England on 14th February and then a match against France on 7th March. On both dates Edinburgh Trams will be running additional services both before and after the match to make sure all the fans can get to the game before kick-off.

Edinburgh Trams have reminded anyone travelling that they must purchase a ticket or pay for their fare before boarding the tram. Tap-on, Tap-off is the quickest way to do this – just remember that to pay the lowest fare you need to remember to tap-off as otherwise you will be charged for a full Airport zone fare.

Sarah Singh, Tram Director at Edinburgh Trams, said: “The games at Murrayfield against England and France this year are set be exhilarating, and we want to make sure fans are taking in all the excitement without having to worry about how they’re getting to and from Murrayfield.

“Stopping right outside Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh Trams offers rugby fans one of the most convenient ways to get there, plus we’ll be running trams from every three minutes to ensure they don’t miss any of the action.”
