On Sunday 14th September the East Anglia Transport Museum welcomed visitors from the Cambridge and District Classic Car Club as they opened for another day of tram, trolleybus and railway activity. In this pictorial article we head to the museum to see some of the trams in action and at rest on that day, as well as some of the visiting cars. Bryan Grint provides the photos.

Blackpool Marton VAMBAC 11 sits half in and half out of the depot as London Passenger Transport Board HR/2 1858 and Blackpool Brush Railcoach 634 look on from inside the building.

A view through the front cab of 11 looking towards Chapel Road terminus where Hastings trolleybus 34 can be seen.

Back inside the depot and Blackpool Standard 159 has a day off on the left. Back right is the upper deck of Glasgow 488 on which work is continuing as part of its major restoration. The lower deck remains in the West tram depot.

- The next special event at the East Anglia Transport Museum will be the London Event on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September. London Transport 1858 is likely to be in operation amongst the trams whilst the resident London trolleybuses will also be running alongside other visiting London vehicles. It will also include late-night opening on the Saturday until 2100 giving the rare opportunity to enjoy the museum after dark and without any special Christmas lights!
