As we’ve reported over the past few months there is now a concerted effort at Blackpool Transport to remove expired adverts from their trams and the latest tram which has had that attention is 004 which is now running in full fleet livery once more.
004 has had a long association with Vets 4 Pets (which as it was 004 made identification a lot easier!) with the tram having operated with the adverts for many years and more recently it was another tram to receive the heart attack and stroke prevention ads at the bottom of the centre section.
Early September saw the tram have all of its advertising removed and it is now back in fleet livery. As well as the continued advert removal a number of the trams have also received new corner and front panels to once again include the original purple rather than the faded colour that had been seen more recently. Although this doesn’t cover the whole fleet.
Its expected more trams will have their long-standing adverts removed in the future.
Other advert news concerns 014 which has had changes made to its wrap for the Netflix series Wednesday. It concerns the window vinyls which have been replaced with a new design.
Meanwhile, 010 is currently out of service and is at the depot awaiting the fitting of replacement parts.
