In Pictures: Blackpool 007 back to full fleet livery

007 has become the second tram (plus those which have had other adverts applied) to have had long expired adverts removed after its second side was stripped of the NHS Donor campaign adverts during August 2025. We’d previously seen that the tram had lost the adverts on one side and now Blackpool Transport have returned to strip the opposite side as well.

007 had been carrying these adverts for some time but its thought that the actual contract expired a while ago, although as with many adverts on the modern Blackpool trams they had just remained on the tram.

Late July saw one side lose the adverts – along with lower ads for heart attack and stroke prevention – and the next few weeks saw the tram continue in service with one side in full fleet livery and the other still with the adverts. But this has now changed with both sides of the tram named Alan Whitbread now in the full standard fleet livery.

007 departs from North Station under perfect blue skies. This is the side which had kept its adverts but as can be seen they have now gone! (Photograph by Oliver Shenton, 16th August 2025)
