NET 232 returns to service

Nottingham Express Transit Citadis 232 has returned to service – after over two years out of use. The tram was back in service by Thursday 3rd July 2025 following the completion of repairs and full commissioning.

232 had last been in service on 12th June 2023. This was when it derailed at Bulwell in an incident which saw it suffer significant damage. After being assessed at the depot it was decided that it needed to go off site for full repairs and this saw it head to the now Alstom site at Derby on 20th May 2024.

After returning across the East Midlands in June 2025 the tram has been prepared for service and is now back in action once again after slightly over two years.

NET is currently operating a reduced service as a result of tram shortages, but with the return of 232 hopefully that will go a little way to improving the number of tram available once again.
