Out and About: More Manchester Advert liveries – April 2024

We’ve previously featured a few of the early 2024 Metrolink advert liveries in “Out and About” and now we include a few more in this latest edition.

One of the brighter – but also plainer – adverts was for IKEA which was added onto 3069 in March. This is the second time that the tram has advertised the Swedish retailer. Its at St Peter’s Square as the rear unit of a double on the way to Ashton.

3091 was one of two trams to receive identical ads for Starling Bank in March 2024 – the second time they had two adverts at the same time. We capture the tram here at St Peter’s Square when it’s the lead tram in a double unit.

And 3116 started to advertise the National Trust in March 2024 as part of their Blossom Watch campaign (West Midlands Metro 44 also received a similar ad just before this one was unveiled). At Deansgate Castlefield its at the head of a double which is off to East Didsbury. (All Photographs by Michael Morton, 17th April 2024)
