This phase of works is a short one, with it only affecting services between Saturday 3rd and Sunday 11th August. Both the Blue and Purple routes will be impacted, whilst the Yellow and Tram-Train routes will run as normal.

From 3rd to 11th August the following changes will be in place:

  • Blue route will run Malin Bridge to Sheffield Station and Gleadless Townend to Halfway
  • Trams run every 12 minutes between Malin Bridge and Sheffield Station
  • Trams run every 15 minutes between Gleadless Townend and Halfway
  • The Purple route will not run
  • Replacement bus service BP1 will operate between Fitzalan Square and Herdings Park via Gleadless Townend (up to every 15 minutes)

Meanwhile, works continue around White Lane, Crystal Peaks and Waterthorpe until Friday 2nd August which is seeing Blue route services running Malin Bridge to Herdings Park with no Purple route service or trams to Halfway.

Then from Monday 12th August until Sunday 1st September there will be more work taking place on Middlewood Road which will see changes to the Yellow route. More details of the revised service will be released on Monday 5th August.
