Around the World in Trams: Den Haag 1144

During the month of August the theme for “Around the World in Trams” is that there isn’t one! Rather than sticking in just the one location we will darting around Europe to take a look at photos taken over the years by regular British Trams Online contributor, Tony Sullivan.

And for the first visit we are going to the Netherlands and the city of Den Haag for a photo taken over 60 years ago on 23rd April 1962. We see PCC type tram 1144 near the main railway station working route 8 to Scheveningen Zeebad. Neither tram nor tram route are in existence today with the 1957 built tram having been withdrawn in 1983.
