More discounted tram travel in the West Midlands!

West Midlands Metro have once again got together with an event in the region to offer discounted tram travel to get there. The Birmingham Jazz & Blues Festival will be taking place for the 40th time between 19th and 28th July and volunteers and performers will be able to enjoy a 10% discount on Metro tickets.

West Midlands Metro are an official supporter of the festival which will see over 200 performances along with workshops, talks, exhibitions and masterclasses – many of which are free to attend.

Michael Reading-Skilton, West Midlands Metro Head of Commercial, said: “We’re thrilled to sponsor the festival again this year. The Metro team looks forward to welcoming jazz and blues fans aboard our trams as they travel to festival venues. With trams every eight minutes, Metro is one of the easiest ways to attend the performances and venues during the festival.”

Tim Jennings, Commercial & Development Director of the Festival, added: “With 237 shows taking place over 10 days, a reliable and affordable transport network is essential to the flow of the Jazz Festival. Most performances are free of charge and close to the tram network. West Midlands Metro remains a loyal and highly valued partner, exemplifying how business and the arts can successfully collaborate to achieve a common purpose.”
