Heaton Park Tramway announce 2024 operating dates

The Heaton Park Tramway in Manchester are planning to operate on 40 days during 2024 with the heritage line set to reopen for the year on Easter Saturday, 30th March 2024 and run on selected dates until Sunday 29th September 2024.

The first weekend of the season will see trams run on Saturday 30th, Sunday 31st March and Monday 1st April and then up until the end of May it will run every Sunday plus Monday 27th May. After a two week closure its then Saturday and Sunday operation until the end of July. The first weekend of August is another closed weekend before the rest of month sees Saturday and Sunday opening as well as Monday 26th and Friday 30th August. Into September and its Sundays only.

On most opening days an one tram service is due to operate but on 27th May, 16th June and 26th August it should be two trams in action in connection with bus running days.

There will also be late evening services on Saturday 15th June, Saturday 20th July and Saturday 17th August.

Although details of what special events may run have not yet been revealed the calendar for 2024 says there will be special events on Sunday 18th August, Saturday 31st August and Sunday 8th September.

More details of plans for the tramway in 2024 will be reported as when they are revealed!
