ORR clear EATM to continue operations after inspection

The East Anglia Transport Museum have recently hosted a visit by the Office of Road and Rail (ORR) who have given a full inspection of both the tramway and railway infrastructure at the museum. After a comprehensive visit over two days in mid-January, the ORR have cleared the museum to continue with their operations.

In the past few years the ORR have been undertaking inspections of various heritage tramways across the UK and the EATM were the latest to have this visit. The purpose of these inspections is to ensure that everything is operating safely and that all the relevant paperwork is in place.

There were no issues to prevent the museum from continuing their operations as they do now and so it will be full steam ahead for the museum to reopen from Easter 2024 once more. The first day of the 2024 operating season will be on Good Friday, 29th March with more details of opening dates throughout the year and special events to follow in due course.
