15 Years Apart: Croydon/London Tramlink 2532

Its another modern tram which we feature in this edition of “15 Years Apart”.

Croydon Tramlink 2532 had been in the UK for 10 years in 2008 (arriving November 2008) but when this first photo it was taken it had yet to enjoy its 10th anniversary as this was 12th March 2008. Captured at Avenue Road on the line to Beckenham Junction, by 2008 2532 had received the electronic destination displays but was still in the original red and white fleet livery completed with gold fleet numbers. The tram was running towards central Croydon.

Then on 29th March 2023 we catch up with 2532 again as it heads towards Coombe Lane with a service for New Addington. The tram is now in the current fleet livery of green, blue and white and route numbers are now a thing of the past on the trams with just the destination shown instead.
