Around the World in Trams: Stuttgart 276

We have time for one more photo from Stuttgart before we move on to our next location in “Around the World in Trams”.

As we noted in the first of these four articles on the trams in Stuttgart, as well as the modern light rail system the city enjoys a heritage tram line which sees trams from the city’s past operating out on the streets once more. This photo features one of those as 276 is pictured. Built in 1952, 276 is a Esslingen type 200 which part of the day to day running fleet in Stuttgart until 1986. That is when it was preserved and moved into the museum fleet. It is still operational.
