Nexus launch poetry competition

For the third year running Nexus are offering the chance to a budding poet to see their work being displayed at a station on the Tyne and Wear Metro network. The competition was launched on National Poetry Day with entries now open all the way until 5th November.

Poems can be submitted to the competition with the winner and three runners up seeing their poem displayed on a large poster at Longbenton. The prize also includes £100 Waterstones vouchers and a free membership to The Poetry Book Society for the winner and £50 of Waterstones vouchers for the runners up.

Entries will be judged by Nexus along with a poet selected by The Poetry Book Society.

Poems should be on theme of journeys and can be submitted online at https://www.nexus.org.uk/poetry.
